Today is day 3 of my 30-day Hatha yoga challenge and I am definitely feeling it today. I am also wondering if those of you following along have noticed anything significant yet. Feel free to send me your comments and questions. I woke up this morning and was quite sore all over. I have been teaching my regular classes (about 2 – 3 per week) along with my own personal asana practice and I think it is starting to catch up with me today (my personal sessions are naturally a bit more robust than the ones I teach). I really had to take it easy with today’s session. I awoke as usual and practiced pranayama and meditation. I was not really up for eating anything so I just had a cup of herbal tea which I enjoyed along with jivamukti.
Start this meditation by turning off your electronic devices that you have around you, which can distract you during this crown chakra meditation. You will also have to make sure that no one is going to interrupt you when you How to meditate. Find a comfortable meditation posture where you sit upright and not lying down. Close your eyes and take a moment to relax in your mind and body before you start.
Since during meditation the mind is usually clear, you can conveniently put in subliminal messages almost without issues. You can repeat the messages into your mind, or you can use CDs or mp3s and listen to them while youre meditating.
As crazy as this may sound, there is a mental need to prepare the body for sleep, for work, and for recreation, because when you “pay” attention to the body, the body “pays” attention to you.
There is a story in the bible that we can learn from that will give us tips and some inside information as to what to do in such cases. It is the story of Jesus calming the wind and the waves. The story can be found in Matthew 8:23-27, Mark 4:35-41, and Luke 8:22-25. One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So his disciples took him just as he was and they got into the boat and started out. There were other little boats going along also. All of a sudden a huge storm starts and the boat that they are in is filling up with water very fast. The waves are crashing and splashing over the sides of the boat. The wind is just whipping around and blowing hard.
Make career decisions based on who you are now — not the person you were ten years ago (or even ten days ago). For example, maybe you spent a life as the quintessential urban resident and now you realize you really want to plant a garden. You enjoyed twenty years of law or medicine or sales, and now you find yourself writing poetry and making time to help a third-grader learn to read. Your old career will not fit anymore.
Pregnancy at 40 years old can be solved once you follow the above tips. However, you should remember that you should not pressure yourself to get pregnant because it can cause you to be more stressed.
